本片讲述的是女主为了救全村人，但是被全村人冷眼相待，最后公布女主身份后，又开始来巴结她的逆袭故事，但是本剧中也存在着带有人性和对重男轻女这种传统思想的讽刺。。故事发生在妖精世界之中，精灵公主玛丽琳（埃文·蕾切尔·伍德 Evan Rachel Wood 配音）即将和她深爱的罗兰德（萨姆·帕拉迪奥 Sam Palladio 配音）步入婚姻的殿堂，可是，一次偶然之中，玛丽琳却发现罗兰德根本不爱自己，和自己结婚不过就是为了得到王位而已。心碎的玛丽琳陷入了悲伤和绝望之中。
