Vienna, 1920. The Austro-Hungarian Empire has collapsed. Peter Perg returns home from the Great War, after seven years as a Russian POW. Peter, a former police inspector, feels like a stranger in the new Austrian Republi...。这部影片是以喜、怒、哀、乐为主题的四个故事组成。其中一个故事“喜”，在一个阴森的夜里：一位白衣女子突然出现在一个书生家，起初书生很害怕，但却被她的美貌所吸引，与她共度一宵。第二天晚上，书生想把那个女鬼再引来，便到她的墓上请她。谁知那墓是另一个人的，所以引来的是一个相貌奇丑的女鬼。。1932年，红军挥师南下去创建川陕革命根据地，给红军当向导的付家林，曾遭受当地恶霸和土匪的欺压，被逼逃离家乡投奔了红军，陕西镇巴县天池寺一带的百姓翻身得解放后，拥护红军，使红军队伍迅速壮大……。
