Special Agent William Perkins follows Martin's trail of terr...。玛雅由墨西哥偷渡往美国，跟姐姐任商业大厦清洁工人。该批工人全是拉丁美洲人士，当中部份更是非法入境者，他们经常受欺压。玛雅认识了工运份子森，更鼓励同事加入工会，争取合理薪酬，引来连番冲突....... 英国导演坚卢治擅长描写社会小人物，特别是边缘一群在社会上面对各种欺压剥削，如何挣扎求存，争取社会公义。片中玛雅反叛独立、爱抱不平的性格，跟姐姐凡事忍让、默默承受形成强烈对比，于是一切纷争从家庭开始！ 本片力求写实，许多时候以长镜(Long Shot)拍摄，一镜直落，其中示威抗议一幕更以手摇镜(Hand-held)拍摄，突显有关衡突的震撼力。。
