年过半百的阿海,一直在陶瓷厂工作.然而在即将退休的年龄,工厂经营不善而倒闭.工厂倒闭后不久,厂家将厂地承包给建筑商,准备在厂地新建楼房.阿海和同事与厂方签订了搬迁协议,然而陆续搬出的同事赔偿款都没能兑现.。本作の主人公は、植木屋で働き、いつも雑誌の切り抜きをポケットに入れて1人で妄想している変わり者・大島杜和（とわ）。彼はコンビニで働く上尾園子に恋をし、彼女と話すために店から木の葉で道を作っておびき寄せようとする。その道をたどってきた園子もまた、廃工場で暮らして奇妙な生き物の彫刻を作っている変わり者。劇中では、周りになじめない彼らが2人だけの世界を作り、仲を深めていくさまが描かれる。。After suffering a brutal attack on Christmas eve, a young woman, Nikki, struggles to convince her friends that the assailant was none other than Ol' Kris Kringle.
