民国初年，外乡人刘冬宝一家来到江南某城，历尽艰辛掘出了一方水岸。恶霸赵定九以外地人无权享有本土为由，逼其重新划分水岸，刘家无奈只得依从。为划分岸，刘家长子刘连根与赵家雇佣的挑水夫龚大成脚蹬烧红的铁靴拼命奔走、踩踏，并让德高望重的曾老爷作公证。最后，龚大成虽然分得一段水岸，但他与刘连根却为此付出自己的生命。26年后，刘家、龚家、赵家的后代都已长大成人。龚大成之子龚岸与母亲从国外乘船归来，他立志要在家乡修建一座内河码头。没想到，他们的船靠岸就遭到一伙蒙面歹徒的袭击，威逼他们交出水岸地契。龚岸拼死与歹徒搏斗。危急关头，一个年轻姑娘前来助战，方使龚家母子脱离了危险。原来，姑娘是刘家的后代刘萍萍，刚从国外习武归来，自龚家母子离家出走后，龚家的土地就被另一恶霸赵南天及儿子赵忠金霸占了。听说龚家母子回来了，赵家父子便闯进曾老爷家，企图强抢当年划分水岸时的证文和契约...。That's Not Us is an intimate portrait of three twenty-something couples as they travel to a beach house to enjoy the last days of summer.
