该剧是一部爱情都市剧。。刚出生的乔枝枝带着母亲去世前留下的长命锁还有照片，被重男轻女的亲奶奶卖掉，亲生父亲跟奶奶决裂，带着两个儿子创立沈氏集团，成为首富，一直找寻乔枝枝的消息。当年人贩子见乔枝枝呼吸微弱，丢掉，被哑巴乔母捡到。。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs. As a result of his body not being found the latter will have to wait for five years until they can inherit the count's money.
