Can he,...。《白鴿計畫：台灣新電影二十年》蕭菊貞受釜山影展20週年特別企劃「紀錄片系列專題—亞洲電影的力量」之託，拍攝本片紀錄自台片票房復興，台灣電影工作者所面臨的困難，藉由一段段與台灣導演的訪談，爬梳台灣電影中所反映的社會脈動以及「國族認同」議題。 透過訪問導演、製片等電影各界人士，形塑出現今台灣電影的嶄新樣貌，更一窺電影從業人員對於電影的肺腑之言。另一方面，隨時代演變，觀眾對於台灣的想像日漸擴展，這片土地的觀眾似乎湧起一股渴求，希望看到與自身環境及土地相互連結的電影。對於這股新趨勢，身處新世代的導演們又將會如何應對？。故事承接《德国八六年》，但此时已经是1989年，马丁·劳赫在东德的间谍活动期间经历了柏林墙倒塌事件。。
