托马斯·沃尔夫（Thomas Wolfe）是美国20世纪30年代的著名作家，也是上世纪最伟大作家之一，代表作有《天使，望故乡》（Look Homeward,Angel，1929）《时间与河流》（Of Time And River，1935）等。麦克斯·珀金斯（Max Perkins）则是著名的文学编辑，曾一手发掘过菲茨杰拉德（F. Scott Fitzgerald）、海明威（Ernest Hemingway）。他们两人的友谊无形之中改变了他们不同的个性，也改变了他们不同的人生轨迹。
《天才》由约翰·洛根（John Logan）根据A. Scott Berg所著《麦克斯·珀金斯：天才们的编辑》（Max Perkins: Editor of Genius）一书改编。片中，科林·弗思（Colin Firth）将饰演“麦克斯·珀金斯”，裘德·劳（Jude Law）将饰演“托马斯·沃尔夫”，盖伊·皮尔斯（Guy Pearce）将饰演“菲茨杰拉德”、多米尼克·威斯特（Dominic West）将饰演“海明威”。。Sergeant Voight tries to find out who is behind the murder of Jin, and come up with the unbelievable discovery and learned that Sergeant Edwin Stillwell playing a double game with the intention of getting out on the surface of the big fish along with Voight.
