人気作家あかほりさとるが原作に携わった同名コミックをアニメ化。アニメ会社XEBECの第1作でもある。このTV版は比較的シリアスな内容だったが、原作に近いエッチなノリのOVA版も発売。魔法を使う特権階級ソーサラーが君臨するスプゥールナ大陸では、悪徳ソーサラーを退治する闇のソーサラーハンターが活躍していた。ハンターである青年キャロットとティラ＆ショコラの美女姉妹ら5人は各地で悪漢を成敗するも、やがてキャロットの中に潜む破壊神が…。。A group of students who are participating in a university's summer science camp are drawn into an incredible quagmire of conflicts, ranging from the relatively simple conflict between an engaging and forthright young teacher and his older manipulative colleague, to a contest pitting political correctness against free scientific inquiry. Despite the murkiness of some of the issues in the latter conflict, the students pitch in enthusiastically on what they believe to be the side of righteousness, and passions rise to fever pitch.

Dave Jesser and Matt Silverstein are great comedic writers and still managed to put together a solid reminder of what Drawn Together once was.
