本片改編自古龍經典名著《武林外史》，劇情講述遊俠沈浪(姜大衛飾)聯同中原六大門派高手，共商對付奸梟歡喜王(羅烈飾)。後沈幾經波折，打敗歡喜王手下之酒、色、財、氣四伯，終於查出歡喜王行宮所在，殊不知這其實是歡喜王用以聚殲江湖高手的一大圈套……。Set in 1978, the film marks the fourth joint effort between Monzón and Jorge Guerricaechevarría, and tells the action-packed, adrenaline-fuelled story of 17-year-old Nacho Cañas, an introverted student who lives in Girona and who is something of a misfit.
