该剧讲述了岭南市禁毒大队长程吉在执行任务中遇害后，警校生林蔷（林鹏饰）误打误撞被毒贩当做交易人员，警队顺势安排林蔷隐藏身份开始执行卧底任务搜集毒贩罪证。在潜入邱虎集团中时，林蔷结识了海外毒枭马洪涛的养子张冼赫（郑业成饰），林蔷既要假装与其情投意合获取情报，又要抑制自己真实情感，两人颇有默契地和邱虎和刘兵两大毒枭周旋，然而这一切都是马洪涛的计划，利用警方力量打击竞争者坐享渔翁之利。然而林蔷身份还是被张冼赫发现，张冼赫陷入两难，与此同时外围的联合执法队伍也要赶在林蔷被马洪涛识破前找到他们的藏身之地，林蔷命悬一线，更令她没想到的是，自己生父的秘密也与宿敌马洪涛有关……。Ellenor is called to the house of her close friend, Senator Keith Ellison, where she finds the dead body of a man in his bed.
