由尼尔逊．吉亭编剧的本片描述法国人在奠边府大败后撤出越南，再在阿尔及利亚镇压反殖民地哥命，又是泥足深陷，阿尔及利亚最终宣布独立。本片是一部政冶色彩浓厚的战争冒险片，以强硬的职业军人和温情的法国清年为两股相对抗的势力贯穿全片，不过导演马克．罗布森在表现政冶立场时仍不忘娱乐性镜头在影片中的穿插，故看来不会太沉闷枯燥，再者有大牌明星阿兰．德龙的加盟演出，使得本片具有很大的吸引力。。从一个名为『月村』的美丽家乡，探讨台湾古迹文史与家庭意义的价值，同时深究台湾传统盐田文化的精神，从家乡到盐田，家的温度与传承是全剧的主要核心，更透过故事中青年北漂返乡的实践，刻画出这片土地上动人又美好的故事。。The epic adventures of the legendary Baran the Bandit following his release from prison. After serving 35 years, it is no surprise that the world has changed dramatically. Still, Baran can't help but be shocked to discover that his home village is now underwater thanks to the construction of a new dam. He then heads for Istanbul to get revenge upon his former best friend, the man who snitched on him and stole his lover Keje. Along the way, Baran teams up with Cumali, a tough young punk who finds the thief's old-fashioned ways rather quaint. When Cumali gets into deep trouble with a crime boss, Baran adds another vengeful task to his roster.。
